Dental Services for Lauderdale Lakes Patients

Everything below happens in one office, and the work that tends to cost the most is handled by the same team that does your exam:

You can see the full list on our services page.

Why Lauderdale Lakes Patients Choose Us

The question we hear most often before treatment is not about the tooth. It is about what it will cost and how the plan, if there is one, fits in. So we start there.

Before any work begins, we check what your PPO plan covers, and you get the cost of each step in writing. Urgent work comes first, the rest is scheduled later, and that sequencing spreads the cost naturally.

  • Benefits checked before treatment, with most major PPO plans accepted
  • Four financing options for what insurance does not cover: CareCredit, Sunbit, Cherry and Alphaeon, subject to approval
  • Urgent care first: pain and infection come first, the rest is scheduled over the following weeks or months
  • Free implant consultation, for patients replacing missing teeth
  • English and Spanish spoken at the front desk and in the chair

Getting Here From Lauderdale Lakes

Lauderdale Lakes is southeast of us, and there are two easy routes. Which one is better depends on where you start in the city.

From City Hall and the central part of the city: State Road 7 and Commercial Boulevard

  1. Take State Road 7 (US-441) north, about a mile, to Commercial Boulevard.
  2. Turn left (west) on Commercial Boulevard and follow it about 3 miles to University Drive.
  3. Turn right (north) on University Drive. The office at 6510 N University Dr is about 1.4 miles ahead, just south of the McNab Road intersection, with parking at the door.

From the south side, near Oakland Park Boulevard and Florida Medical Center: Oakland Park Boulevard

  1. Take Oakland Park Boulevard (State Road 816) west, about 2 miles from Florida Medical Center, to University Drive.
  2. Turn right (north) on University Drive and go about 3 miles, crossing Commercial Boulevard on the way.
  3. The office is on University Drive, just south of McNab Road.

Either way it is roughly 6 miles, or about 12 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Whether you start near City Hall on NW 36th Street, the Lauderdale Lakes branch library or Willie L. Webb Senior Park, both routes stay on main roads and avoid toll highways.

We serve patients across the 33311, 33313 and 33319 ZIP codes, along with the rest of Broward County. The office is at 6510 N University Dr, Tamarac, FL 33321, with parking at the door.

Costs and Insurance

We accept most major PPO plans. Call (954) 322-3865 with your plan name, or bring your card to your visit, and we check your benefits before treatment. Plans usually pay more toward cleanings and exams than toward larger treatment, and most have a yearly maximum, so it helps to ask before you decide.

If you have no insurance, or a plan that will not cover everything, monthly financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, Cherry or Alphaeon lets you spread the cost over time. Each lender sets its own approval and terms, and we cannot promise a rate or a monthly payment.

The full explanation is on our financing and insurance page.

Your First Visit for $65

The easiest way to take the guesswork out of cost is to find out what you actually need before anyone talks about treatment.

Our new patient offer covers a full check-up of your teeth and gums, digital X-rays and a basic cleaning for $65, plus a free Smile Design consultation. After the exam you get what is urgent, what can wait and what each step will cost, in writing, before you decide on anything.

Worth knowing: the $65 visit is for new patients with healthy gums and cannot be combined with dental insurance or other offers. If you have insurance, we can check your benefits first, so you can see which one is the better way to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is better from Lauderdale Lakes, State Road 7 and Commercial Boulevard, or Oakland Park Boulevard?

Both are about 6 miles and about 12 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. If you start near City Hall or the north side of the city, State Road 7 north to Commercial Boulevard, then west to University Drive, is the simpler run. If you start on the south side near Oakland Park Boulevard, going west on Oakland Park Boulevard to University Drive and then north saves a few turns. Either way, the office is just south of McNab Road on University Drive.

Will you check what my PPO plan covers before I commit to treatment?

Yes. We accept most major PPO plans and check your benefits before treatment, so you know what your plan covers and what you would pay. Call (954) 322-3865 with your plan name, or bring your insurance card to your visit.

I have no insurance and a limited budget. How do I start?

Start with the exam. New patients with healthy gums can book the $65 visit: an exam, digital X-rays and a basic cleaning. After that you get the cost of each step in writing, urgent work is scheduled first, and monthly financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, Cherry or Alphaeon can spread the rest, subject to approval.

I am missing several teeth. What are my options?

Depending on how many teeth are missing and the condition of the bone, the options are usually implants, an implant-supported bridge or full-arch option such as All-on-4, or partial and full dentures. The implant consultation is free, and it is a consultation only: treatment is quoted after your exam. See our page on dental implants for how it works.

What should I bring to my first visit, and where do I park?

Bring your insurance card if you have one, or tell us when you call that you are paying yourself. There is parking at the door of the office at 6510 N University Dr.

Does Original Medicare cover dental work?

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover routine dental care such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions or dentures. Some Medicare Advantage plans include a limited dental benefit. Call us with your plan details and we will check what it covers.
